Shutter Speed - Also known as "exposure time", stands for the length of time a camera shutter is open to expose light into the camera sensor. If the camera shutter speed is faster, it could help freeze the subject in place for the perfect camera shot. However if the shutter speed is low it will cause something called motion blur which makes the image look blurred along the direction of the action. Motion blur is used in many advertisements involving cars and motorbikes.

Aperture - Aperture is a hole within the lens, through which travels into the camera body. It is easier to understand the concept if you just think about our eyes. Every camera that we know today is designed like human eyes, the cornea in our eyes is like the element of a lens it gathers the surrounding light, then bends it past the iris. Depending on the light, the iris can either expand or shrink, controlling the size of the pupil. The pupil is essentially what is referred to as the aperture in photography.
