Long, Medium and Close Up shots
There are three main types of shots that describe how near or far the camera is from the subject.
A long shot shows the whole image/subject
A medium shot shows the image/subject within its surroundings
A close-up shot shows the subject in its entirety and in great detail
An establishing shot at the beginning of a scene tells viewers where they are usually a close-up of a sign or a long shot of a car driving up to somewhere
